Veggies & Fruits
Breakfast at Conure Queen! Breakfast consists of: Kale, Apples, Oranges, Mangoes, Strawberries, Carrots, Corn, Green Beans, Peas, Lima Beans and whatever fruits and other veggies we have. This is breakfast EVERYDAY for all our birds! Whole grains are important as well, we give cooked Long Grain Brown Rice, and Multi Grain Cherios!
Fresh Fruits and Veggies should be given DAILY. Conures are prone to Conure Bleeding Syndrome (CBS), and they require proper Vitamin K and Calcium to prevent this, Kale and Broccoli is a good source for Vitamin K. Vitamin D can be added by giving Egg Yolk or canned Tuna (small amounts ONLY).

The Good Veggies:
Mustand/Turnip Greens
Kale
Dandelion Leaves (at grocery store, not outside)
----The above contain high Calcium and Vitamin K. These should be given daily!
Carrots, Zucchini, Corn, Yams, Beets, Peas, Endive, Green Beans.
Fruit should be available once daily. Remove all seeds and pits. Care should be taken around fruits like Peaches, that have a different color flesh near the pit. This area must be removed as well, as it is toxic to your Conure.
That being said: Apples, Grapes, Mangoes, Banana, Kiwi, Cantaloupe, Pineapple, Lemons, Limes, are all great.
