Conure Supplies
We enjoy convenience, and know that being able to shop from home is wonderful. So, we have provided links for you to buy a cage, and outfit it with toys and food from the convenience of your recliner! Even if you can only spare 10 minutes after the kids have gone to bed, you can arrange to have everything at your door step before your baby arrives
Cages:
The proper cage is very important for the well-being of any bird. If you have the space for it, bigger is always better, just make sure to always check the bar spacing. The cage is your Conure's "home", "safe place" and even "time-out zone". The cage must be large enough for your Conure to flap their wings comfortably and safely. There must also be enough room for toys, and all Conures enjoy a sleep sack, or happy hut.

Toys:
Toys are perhaps the MOST important to a happy, well-adjusted Conure! All parrots are intelligent, playful, inquisitive creatures. They require LOTS of stimulation, they are perpetual 2 year olds, and need to be amused at all times, otherwise, they can resort to feather plucking, being destructive, loudly vocalizing, and overall inappropriate behavior. When their "flock" (which is YOU) can't be around, they need to have something to do! We have found that a varied selection of toy colors, textures, materials, and type will keep your Conure amused to no end. The best advice I can give is to buy quiet a few different toys and rotate them every 2 weeks to every month (at the least). That way there is always a toy that is new to them! The only time you can't "recycle" the toys are: ropes that are frayed, broken parts....or if your bird simply does not like it!

Food:
Proper diet will ensure that your Conure stays healthy for a LONG time! Remember, these birds can live up to 35 years! Their diet should include: Pellets, small amount of seed, nuts, dried fruits/veggies. You must also supplement the commercial diets with fresh fruit and veggies everyday. You can also cook for your Conure! Warm food is a GREAT bonding tool! But for starters, take a look at the commercial diets found HERE.
