An update from Kelly and Chris with Maui 06/27/2010
A letter from Kelly on June 25, 2010: "Hi Nicole, Just thought you would think it was funny to know what happened this morning. As you know, Benny our foster cockatiel was adopted last night. We had him for 5 weeks and every morning he would start his day by saying “Pretty bird” over and over around 6 am. Maui and Hugs would never make a peep. This morning it was very quiet when I was getting ready for work. I went and fed both birds and then next thing I know our parakeet, Hugs, started chirping and it strangely sounded liked pretty bird to me. Our son got up and he agreed that it sounded like the parakeet was chirping pretty bird but we didn’t think anything of it. My husband was off of work today and I was gone by the time he got up. He called me to say he had Maui on his shoulder this morning and he said very softly “pretty bird”. Chris said he repeated it and Maui said it again. It is a good thing that Benny didn’t have a potty mouth! I guess Benny made a lasting impression on them! Hope Wonka and the rest of the bunch is doing well. Have a great weekend." ----Kelly Comments Your comment will be posted after it is approved. Leave a Reply | AuthorBy: Conure Queen ArchivesMay 2011 CategoriesAll |
