Spring has sprung!  Be careful when spring cleaning around our feathered friends!  Fumes from household cleaners can harm and even kill!

Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean.  This thing is AWESOME!  I use it on EVERYTHING!  From the walls to the cages, to my stove top, this handy-dandy-little-sponge-like thingy works wonders!  Costs about $3.50 for 2

Glass cleaner:
1/4 cup Vinegar
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
1 quart warm water
Mix in a spray bottle and shake!

Spray on and wipe off! 

Remember to keep our feathered friends away from drafts!  We know how much we all want to open the windows and let some fresh air in!

I am reminding everyone with Spring coming and Spring cleaning taking place that household cleaners can be TOXIC to your Conure!  Fumes and chemicals can kill your baby very fast.  The list includes: Bleach, Windex, Febreeze, All Aerosol Air Fresheners. 

If you want to clean surfaces use lemon juice and water or vinegar and water.  This is safe for you and your Conure.

Also, remember that Teflon KILLS birds!  Replace all cooking utensils with Stainless Steel, beware of Grills, irons, space heaters, hair dryers.  Always check to make sure that you are NOT using a non-stick surface!!!  Anything that says NON-STICK will emit fumes that will kill!
