Snow and more snow 02/25/2010
We are so sick of the snow in NJ! We have had about 3 feet of snow since the season started and now, we are getting maybe another foot! Can't wait for spring!!! On a better note, the Painted Conures are settled in fine, and hopefully we will have babies this year. Back to shoveling! ~~~~~Conure Queen~~~~~ Add Comment Jail break!!! 02/22/2010
The new Painteds decided to make a break for it! Walked into the aviary and one was flying around. I was shocked! I really didn't think that there was any way for them to get out at all! She or he, not sure which, was easy enough to catch though, which was good. But, as I was putting boxes on other cages, I watched as the little Painted tried the doors. She stood on the bottom of the cage and actually tried to open the feed door! So, I hurried up and tied all the doors shut! Hopefully I won't have any more escapes! On a better note-Painteds started working the nest already! Pulling some feathers and all, so hopefully we will have baby Painteds soon!! ~~~~~Conure Queen~~~~~ 2.19.2010 **New Pair at Conure Queen** 02/19/2010
I am VERY excited to introduce a young Painted Conure pair that we just picked up today! Thank you Rob for this pair, they are spectacular! The Painted Conure is a rare Conure and is hard to breed, which is why I consider it the "holy grail" of Conures. They are beautiful, quiet and the perfect size. I am hoping that this young pair will produce for us, and for tonight, they are settling in and I will be taking pictures and posting them soon!! ~~~~~Conure Queen~~~~~ | AuthorBy: Conure Queen ArchivesMay 2011 CategoriesAll |
